You own a BMW M4 Convertible and want more power and torque? Well, if your bank account can spare around $25,000, we have excellent news.
Even if you do not own an M4 Convertible or cannot spare 22,000 euros for this massive improvement, it's still worth to take a look at what G-Power has achieved.
Their tuning specialists have announced a new kit for the BMW M4 Convertible, which raises maximum output to 600 HP, while maximum torque was increased to 740 Nm (535 lb-ft). The performance gains mentioned above come from a combination of mechanical and software improvements.
First of all, G-Power installed a Bi-Tronik 2 V3-ECU remap to enhance the power level to 520 HP and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft). Then, the company fitted an improved twin-turbo kit, complete with downpipes and a titanium exhaust system with carbon fiber tips that measure 90 millimeters in diameter.
In its most powerful state, the BMW M4 Convertible can accelerate from 0 to 62 MPH in just 3.7 seconds, while its top speed exceeds 320 km/h (198 MPH).
G-Power specialists developed the upgraded turbochargers in-house for the significant performance gains they achieved. They say their new compressor wheel has been replaced with a CNC-milled unit capable of reaching speeds of up to 250.000 rpm, which enables them to achieve higher boost pressures.
The German tuner announces that the M4’s standard engine operation parameters, including optimal coolant and oil temperatures, as well as diagnostics and protection features remain unaffected of their Bi-Tronik software customization. We mention this because it is an impressive achievement for a tuner to maintain standard operating temperatures for a powertrain after such impressive performance gains.
G-Power customers can also order a set of G4M RS Coilover suspension kits, complete with adjustable shock absorbers. The Hurricane RR forged wheels are also available in a mixed package crafted for the M4 Cabriolet, as the front ones are sized 9x21, while the rear ones are 10.5x21 inches. Naturally, the weight-optimized rims described above come with performance-oriented tires.
