After BMW finally unveiled the first of the 2 i cars, the i3, the rest of the world is currently looking and anticipating how the i8 will look like and what exactly it will be capable of.
Judging from the way the i3 turned out (closely similar to the concept car), the i8 will probably also have a design close to the concept version that is simply breathtaking. Whilst the city-car has a shape different from what we're used to from BMW, the sports car will be aggressive, just as we like it.
Georgian car designer, Alexander Imnadze, envisioned an even more interesting model, dubbed M3i, a car that blends both old M3 styling cues and the new touches from the i Series.
Whilst it does look good, this thing will never see the light of day. One of the reasons is that BMW already made up their mind and said no to a possible M version of the i8. Furthermore, an M3i is even farther from reality than an M i8.
A lot of rumors also surround the 100th anniversary of BMW, that will be celebrated in 2016. Most people seem to think that in 2 years we'll be seeing the first proper supercar from BMW since the M1. At the moment, these are just rumors but who knows, maybe the i8 will be the basis for something truly special.
