When BMW launched the new 2 Series, it claimed that the brand new Coupe is the spiritual successor of the older, highly acclaimed back in the day, 2002. Indeed, the original received praising reviews when it was originally released and now, the 2 Series seems to follow in its footsteps.
There isn’t a publication out there that said the 2er is not a good car. Both in the 228i guise and the M235i form, the cars are, simply put, brilliant. There’s plenty of power and the driving dynamics to match it all around, no matter if you have 245 or 326 HP at your disposal.

Basically, BMW is sticking to the recipe that made them famous, creating a small coupe with plenty of power and an engaging feel behind the wheel. Of course, the two are decades apart and you can tell that by the way they look and what they are offering in terms of technology but when it comes to driving fun, the differences are getting extremely small.

The wallpapers below were shot in Brazil, where two friends got their cars together for an epic set of photos for a local magazine. The photographer truly showed off when putting the two together and we can’t possibly think of any better way to decorate your computer’s desktop if you’re a BMW fan.

In the meantime, as good as the M235i looks like, the Germans are preparing a true M car, in the shape of the M2. It’s supposed to look even more aggressive and it will have the specs to rule the range for now: 370 HP, 520 Nm of torque and a weight that will make sure this thing goes around tight corners with ease. Can’t wait to see how it turns out!
