BMW is continuously looking to expand its range of ConnectedDrive apps, to offer their customers the best possible experience while behind the wheel of their German luxury cars.
In this regard, the i3 and future i8 speak for themselves, offering never before seen connectivity features, giving the Bavarians a real advantage over its competitors.

At the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show, the Munich-based company will, of course, be part of the Connected Car Expo, a part of the main event, showcasing the importance of digitalization in cars and showing the wide audience what new features will be coming to the US in the near future.

One of the most anticipated apps that will be making its premiere at the Expo is the BMW M Laptimer, that allows the driver to connect its Apple iPhone to the car’s infotainment system and read all kinds of useful information through the specially designed A4A interface (Apps for Automotive).

Amongst the readable parameters you’ll find acceleration logs, braking points, lap times and G-force, all of them being comparable with your friends’.

Of course, other apps will also be introduced. For more details, check the press release posted below.
