In order to celebrate the 1-2 finish of BMW’s Z3 GT3 model in the Super GT race on April 5 and 6 this year at the Okayama International Circuit in Japan, the Germans decided to launch a special model in the Asian country. Therefore, ladies and gentleman, allow us to introduce the Z4 sDrive20i GT Spirit edition.
Being a special model, it will come with special features, of course. First of all, only 60 units will be built and all of them will be equipped with a 2-liter petrol engine making 184 HP and 270 Nm (200 lb-ft) of torque.
Based on the M Sport model, they will also have the M Sport body kits as well, along with 19 inch M light-alloy wheels. All cars will be dressed in Alpine White and the M Stripes, as you can see in the photo gallery. The front kidney grilles are blacked out as well as the rear diffuser.
Inside, you’ll get a new design package with sports seats in black alcantara and orange highlight stitching all around.
As far as the performance goes, the cars won’t be road-legal rockets as you might expect them to be. 0-100 km/h (62 mph) comes up in 6.9 seconds with the automatic sport transmission while the top speed goes up to 232 km/h (144 mph) without an electronic limiter.
Prices for these models start at JPY6,090,000 ($59,752 at the current exchange rates) but can go further up if you want to get some more optional features. BMW is accepting pre-orders as we speak.
