French BMW enthusiasts rejoice! BMW launched a new entry-level LCI E89 Z4 in France, starting at just EUR36,990 (USD50,150), bringing that open top freedom closer to you than ever.
The new model is dubbed sDrive18i and, as you probably already guessed, is using the same 2-liter turbocharged engine as the sDrive20i version, but with less power. The 18i is rated at 156 HP and 270 Nm (200 lb-ft) of torque, with a 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint time of 7.9 seconds and a top speed of 221 km/h (138 mph).

The fuel consumption is rated at 6.8 l/100 km (34.5 mpg) whilst CO2 emissions are rated at 159 grams per kilometer, a bit off from what the EU wants from vehicles made on the European continent in the near future.

The new version is already available on the online configurator so, if you live in France, you might want to check it out and order one for next Summer.
