Mercedes-Benz is not the only premium automaker to launch limited special editions in Japan. Rivals from BMW have just issued an exclusive 5-Series run in the "Land of the rising sun" as well.
Limited to only 300 units, the BMW 5-Series Exclusive Sport edition is available for both sedan and touring versions and can be order with either a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder or a 2.0-liter diesel engine.
The new trim comes with a full M-Sport body package, including 19-inch alloy wheels, while the cabin benefits from Cinnamon Brown leather covered sport seats, three-spoke M steering wheel, upgraded sound system and a Head-Up Display system, just to name a few features.
The BMW 5-Series Exclusive Sport edition can be had for prices between JPY 7,1900,000 and JPY 7,490,000 ($72,000 through $75,200).
The facelifted 2014 BMW 5-Series will make its world debut at the 2013 Shanghai Auto Show scheduled later this month.
