Famous American business magazine Forbes says BMW is the most powerful automobile brand in the world. The German manufacturer ranks ninth in the "World's Most Powerful Brands" standing.
With a brand value of $26.3 billion and a brand revenue of $73.7, BMW outranks Toyota, the world's biggest automaker (14th place) and German rivals Mercedes-Benz (16th place). The Munich-based company has also surpassed brands such as Cisco, Oracle and Samsung.
The next automakers in Forbes' ranking are Honda (19), Audi (32), Volkswagen (45) and Ford (59). The last automobile companies to make it into the Top 100 are Hyundai (71), Nissan (76) and Lexus (87).
Named the world's most powerful brand by Global 500 back in February, Italian sportscar manufacturer Ferrari was not included in Forbes' ranking.
Topping the "World's Most Powerful Brands" list is Apple, followed by Microsoft, Coca-Cola, IBM and Google. The Top 10 is completed by Intel, McDonald's, General Electric and, as we already mentioned, BMW and Cisco.
