BMW Introduces M235i Track Edition Model in the Netherlands

Limited-run Bimmers seem to be the norm these days and seemingly every country in the world that matters on BMW’s radar is now getting a special model. Up next on the list is the Netherlands, the country where the German group just started manufacturing the new MINI Hardtop, under license.

Their special car is called the BMW M235i Track Edition and, as you called it, it’s a rather interesting piece of engineering. Starting from the stock M235i, the cars will also be decked with all sorts of M Performance Parts. Actually, the entire M Performance Parts catalogue was added to the body of the car, just to make sure it’s worth the money.

We’re including here the front splitter, lip spoiler, side skirts, gloss black kidney grilles, rear diffuser, exhaust system, 19 inch lightweight alloy wheels, just to mention what happened on the outside.

Inside, you’ll find an Alcantara wrapped M steering wheel with a digital display, just like the one we found rather useless on our review, alcantara and carbon fiber trims and aluminum pedals. No word about the M Performance limited-slip differential was mentioned but we’re hoping that’s included as well, considering the price tag.

What price tag is that? €83,000. Ok, we get that there will be only 12 of these cars ever made but still, that seems pretty steep even so. As for the performance, it’s unchanged.

The same 3-liter inline 6-cylinder engine is put to work under the bonnet, making 326 HP and 450 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque and sending the car up to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.8 seconds thanks to the 8-speed automatic gearbox.
