BMW and TomTom have joined forces and will integrate the latter’s GO LIVE navigation devices in certain models belonging to the BMW 1-Series, 3-Series, X1 and X3 lines.
European BMW dealers can now install customized TomTom devices that connect with BMW’s existing in-car entertainment system, with the TomTom LIVE Services including HD Traffic, which offers real-time Traffic info.

A custom mount is used to attach the 5-inch TomTom device to the dashboard and after that satnav direction and hand-free calls will be handled through the car’s speaker. BMW is inviting driver to visit its dealerships in order to have the TomTom GO LIVE PND fitted to their cars, with the navigation function covering 45 European countries.

Our say: If your BMW isn’t ordered with an OEM navigation system, you can get it with a TomTom device.
