When it comes to customizing your BMW things are never easy, mostly because the Germans offer you plenty of choices. But also because we, as humans, have it in our bloods to change our minds pretty often and pretty easily.
Looking over the online configurators for the new M3 and M4 you might think we’re crazy to say such things about the customizing possibilities but keep in mind that what you see there is just part of what you can do with your car.

That’s because BMW is offering the Individual range for these new M cars and that’s no joking matter. Basically, through it, you get to have your pick from the most exclusive and good looking materials in all sorts of combinations.

A Bimmerpost member recently wanted to see exactly how much Individual options cost and he had a small chat with BMW North America. The response that came back was better than expected.

The paints cost just $1,950 and you can have your pick out of Pyrite Brown Metallic, Smoked Topaz metallic, Azurite Black metallic, Moonstone metallic and our favorite, Tanzanite Blue metallic. That’s not all though.

You can also get Individual leather inside the cabin, for $2,300. The available options include Merino Opal White, Gold Brown, Nutmeg, Cohiba Brown and Amaro Brown, each with its own shade and look.

Last, but not least, you can have your pick out of three Individual trim types, for $1,080, in the shape of Piano Black, Red Sycamore and White Ash Grain trims. They might not seem like much at first, but check out this configurator and you’ll immediately see how much of a difference they make inside the cabin.
