Ever thought how driving a BMW can be somehow compared to playing the piano? Or, at least, listening to someone play the piano? Well, if you didn't, the German carmaker itself did, and decided to do something about it.

In a move BMW calls a “harmonious partnership born out of a passion for perfection,” the carmaker tied the knot with piano manufacturer Steinway & Sons, as a means to support the international talent program organized by the latter company.

The partnership will come into effect next year, but we bet you are already wondering how would such a marriage benefit you, the automotive enthusiast. Think of it this way: BMW will not leave your questions unanswered.

The partnership does come with a car attached. It is called Individual 7 Series Composition and, you guessed, it is
inspired by Steinway & Sons. There are two colors the car has been designed in, black and white, to be reminiscent of the piano keyboard.

Overall, the BMW created to celebrate this partnership is not all that different from the regular production version, apart from the fact that BMW used higher-quality materials and a new premium audio system for it.

“The special-edition BMW Individual 7 Series Composition embodies the desire of both brands to combine aesthetics, comfort and technical perfection,” said Uwe Ellinghaus, BMW Brand Steering and BMW Brand Management director.

“With its aim to provide support for future talent, the BMW Group considers that promoting the Young Steinway Artists in this way is a perfect adjunct to its commitment to culture.”

The good news is that the special versions will be built by BMW Individual, upon customers' requests. The fine tuning of the appearance can be done on either the normal or long-wheelbase versions.
