Today we saw the launch of the first plug-in hybrid car from BMW, the i8. Apart from the fact that it looks absolutely stunning and comes with a wide array of features, everyone was curious about its price tag.
Well, it's been confirmed that the i8 will cost $135,925 in the US, whilst prices for other big markets were also released. In the UK, for example, the i8 will set you back £99,125 whilst in Germany, at home, the new car will require €126,000 to be driven out the dealership.
However, the advantages of this car are numerous and far outweigh the costs, just thinking about the average fuel consumption of 2.5 l/100 km (94 mpg) should motivate you enough to want to get one.
Not to mention the fact that it is an AWD, FWD and RWD car at the same time, reaches 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.4 seconds and takes only 1.5 hours to recharge its batteries.
