BMW i8 Nuns Are Way Cooler Than You

The BMW i8, as you may have heard by now, is an expensive plug-in hybrid sports car. But despite its considerable price tag, two nuns in Poland are only happy to live under the godly vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience while driving a white BMW i8.

The vertical photograph snapped by Przemek Sobola doesn’t have any info about the nuns in question or the location, but a quick look through the comment thread tells us that the photo was taken in Swinice Warckie, a village with less than 1,000 inhabitants according to the latest census.

Another thing about this small Polish village is that it is the site of the baptism of Saint Faustina. According to the greatest free encyclopedia of this wonderful thing we call the Internet, Maria Faustyna Kowalska is a star among the Catholic folk of Poland. Heck, the Roman Catholic Church even canonized Faustina as a saint, chiefly because she is considered a virgin and a mystic. But during her lifetime (1905 - 1938), there was no such thing as an i8.

The two nuns in the featured photograph, however, got to experience the automotive perks of the 21st century in a sports car that defines the 2010s. To quote an old Coldplay song from an epoch when Coldplay made good music, God put a smile upon their faces. And a BMW i8 at their disposal.

Does that mean God is a BMW enthusiast? That’s hard to tell because hey, we’re human beings. And like all people, our understanding of the great beyond is limited, as in very, very limited. Furthermore, humans have a thing for worldly riches and experiences, as in owning and/or driving a BMW i8.

Speaking of which, what sort of car would God drive? According to the Bible, "God drove Adam and Eve out of the Garden of Eden in a Fury." I know this is an old joke, but all leads point toward a Pontiac, not a BMW.
