The 2014 Chicago Auto Show that’s currently underway featured the latest BMW models that were also on the scene at Detroit’s main event. Amongst them you could spot a beautiful, white i8.
With a conventional 1.5-liter 3-cylinder engine in the back and an electric motor up front derived from the i3, the i8 is truly a next step in mobility and the way we perceive performance.
The combined 362 HP and 570 Nm of torque make this car a dashing appearance both on the street and on the drag strip where the o-100 km/h sprint is done in 4.4 seconds.
This is also the first car in the world that has all-wheel-drive, RWD and FWD at the same time, the electric unit being capable of powering the front axle alone for up to 20 miles.
The price for such a car will start at around $136,000 in the US and sales will begin this autumn. Better start saving some money!
