Tomorrow we'll be talking about the i8 with the car completely unveiled. We'll get to know the exact 0-100 km/h (62 mph) time and other important aspects like how it will look like but until then, we'll have to do with the little BMW is providing.
One of such interesting in-depth looks at the revolutionary car is BMW's latest video on Youtube. It showcases the aerodynamic properties of the i8 and how they were achieved, explaining everything step by step.

With a drag coefficient of 0.26, the i8 is close to the world record of 0.20 and therefore a very aerodynamic car. In order to achieve such a performance, the car was put through rigorous testing in the wind tunnel, bringing further emphasis on the efficiency of the vehicle, optimizing fuel consumption.

That's how the i8 is capable of reaching 100 km/h in under 4.5 seconds with just 362 HP and, at the same time, have a fuel consumption of just 2.5 l/100 km (94 mpg).
