Every year, the German Design Council recognizes outstanding design achievements offering them their prestigious premium prize. Last year, BMW claimed no less than 5 awards and this year they're back on the podium.
Gold went to the BMW Group for their brand new BMW i3. The all-electric vehicle was ranked number on in the Transportation and Public Space category, where two other creations of their own were also brought up: the BMW Pininfarina Gran Lusso Coupe and the BMW R 1200 GS travel endure. Both of them received a Special Mention.

The award ceremony will take place in Frankfurt, next year, during the Ambiente trade fair (February 7). The German Design Award enjoys a prestigious public profile around the world, due to the prowess of its entrants.

Furthermore, the reputation of its host, the German Design Council that represents the German design scene, is impeccable. Being an independent institution, the GDC is also supporting companies in the design field whilst also campaigning to make a wider audience aware of the importance of their field of expertise.
