This year, the guys from “Auto Zeitung” Germany had little to think about when they had to pick the best Electric Car for 2013’s Auto Trophy award. That’s because almost immediately they went for BMW’s brand new i3 that claimed the coveted prize.
The i3 won thanks to its revolutionary design and vision, both of them impressing the magazine’s readers, that voted massively for the new city-vehicle.
Over 103,000 readers took part in this year’s vote, choosing their favorites out of a total of 15 vehicle categories and 400 different models.
Another car in the i range that impressed this year was the i8 that was successful in the “Sports Car” category, even though it’s not yet available to the public and was only unveiled and up for display at various auto shows.
