The BMW i3 is heading for the final stretch before officially going on sale in the US. The release of the official pricing and ordering guide is the last of a series of signs we’ve been seeing lately on the internet that the Germans are ready to take on what could very well be the biggest market for their i brand.

The i3 will start at USD41,350 in the US excluding the USD925 destination and handling fee. If you want to go with the Range Extender version, or REx for short, you’ll have to pay USD45,200, before the government grant that will add up to USD7,500. Therefore, you can have an all electric i3 starting at USD34,775 (including the shipping and handling tax and the government grant).

According to the ordering guide attached to this article, the car will be available in non-metallic paints such as Arravani Grey and Capparis White for free but you’ll have to ante up USD550 for the really cool paints such as Ionic Silver and Solar Orange, the colors we’ve been seeing over and over again.

In the US, only 2 World Packages will be available (remember, for i brand cars BMW decided to go with ‘Worlds’ instead of Lines), Giga and Terra, respectively. The Mega world is reserved for other markets. The Giga World will set you back USD1,700 whilst Terra World will be USD2,700.
