The guys from XCAR are slowly becoming my favorite when it comes to Youtube videos, their channel having some of the most thoughtful reviews I’ve ever seen, covering even older models. It’s not the case this time.
This time, they took the i3 out for a spin and praised it so much you might think they’ve been bribed or something. However, looking over the arguments they bring, it’s hard to say that, as they all make perfect sense.
The i3 was designed for the urban environment and it’s a perfect solution to mobility inside today’s biggest metropoles around the world, emissions free. However, there are a few problems with it.
Going outside the city might pose a problem from the range point of view. The same problem might apply inside it because of the way we live today, in tall apartment buildings that don’t always offer their occupants a parking space and a power plug. That problem is addressed by various apps for the i3 and the custom navigation system inside it that makes traveling easier but it’s not going all the way. Let’s hope things will mend in the near future. Until then, let’s watch the video.
