BMW i3 Pricing Released. US Prices Starting at $41,350

A lot of rumors went around concerning the i3, especially in the last 2 weeks, thanks to BMW. They invited a couple of journalists to take the car for a quick spin and announced that they will be unveiling the car on July 29th.

Pricing rumors went around too, after a BMW official said that the i3 will be priced in the 3 Series ballpark. Now, the Bavarian company released the official pricing. According to their press website, the suggested retail price for the US is just $41,350 (without Destination and Handling), before federal or state incentives.

“The BMW i3 heralds the dawn of a new era for individual mobility and for the BMW Group. True to a genuine BMW, the BMW i3 has strong emotional appeal, outstanding product substance and a guarantee of sheer driving pleasure,” said Ian Robertson, Member of the Board of Management, Sales and Marketing BMW.

“With this leading-edge vehicle and attractive price, we will provide customers with a compelling offer for electromobility,” he added.

So, there you have it folks, the i3 starts at $42,300 with destination and handling and it will go down another couple of thousand dollars with various state incentives for electric cars, depending on where you live.
