Today was the big day in the UK as BMW finally launched the i3 on the market, everyone being able to order one to fit their every needs, starting today.
The world's first premium car designed from the ground up to be powered by an electric system not only does exactly what it promised to inside the city, but it's also a great companion during your daily chores.

Prices for the new car start at GBP25,680 in the UK with a GBP5,000 OLEV Government grant for the basic version and GBP28,830 for the one fitted with a range extender.

The first one will cover 80 to 100 miles on a full charge (128 km to 100 km) whilst the latter will do 160 to 186 miles (250 to 300 kilometers) depending on the driving mode you select.

All cars will benefit from a 3-year warranty with unlimited mileage and the batteries will be covered for 8-years or 100,000 miles. For the interior you'll get to pick from various 'Worlds', such as Standard, Loft, Lodge and Suite.

Standard features include leather steering wheel, Drive Performance Control with 3 modes (ECO PRO+, ECO PRO and Comfort), BMW Emergency Call, Park Distance Control, Keyless Go, BMW ConnectedDrive, DAB Digital Radio, BMW Business package, 19" wheels and the Active Differential Brakes amongst many other things.
