BMW i3 HD Wallpapers

As if the clouds above knew we were about to play with some electric stuff, they decided to open up and share their rather humid feeling with us for a good part of our BMW i3 drive. Yes, this means you should expect a lot of rain in this set of HD wallpapers.

Driving the BMW i3 means you’ll be accompanied by some sort of electric burble. The sound is muffled, but you can hear it both during acceleration and deceleration if you pay a bit of attention to it. We enjoyed it - this must be how electric hot hatches talk.

The i3 is built on an aluminum platform that holds all the tech goodies together, while the passenger cell is made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic. This CFRP structure allowed for the B pillar to be eliminated, so you end up with this wide apperture. The only downside is that the rear door can’t be opened if the door up front hadn’t been opened first.

There are many elements of the i3’s cabin that we’d like to see on other BMWs. The front seats definitely fall into this category. Their slim construction saves quite a lot of space and, despite the appearances, they are truly comfortable.

Ah, yes, the faux kidney grilles. These breathers have become so much of a BMW tradition that nobody expected the Bavarians to launch a car without them, even if we were to talk about a wind-powered vehicle. By the way, a digital artist recently showed us how Bimmers would look like without their kidney grilles and you definetly want these on.

Not too long ago, people couldn’t have immagined this famous roundel surrounded by the blue of the green motoring sea and yet here it is. Mind you, BMW has been experimenting with electric vehicles since 2007, with the 1-Series ActiveE and the Mini E being the beta testers. Returning to the i3, we’ll give you a complete visual take on this in the Full HD photo gallery of our BMW i3 review.
