A while back, BMW announced it will be introducing so-called BMW Geniuses inside selected showrooms to help customers better understand i cars. The pilot project was first launched in the UK.
Now, the same EU country is the first one to receive a brand new feature for their i cars, the BMW i Genius phone service. Sounds really close to the BMW Genius program, doesn't it?

The phone service acts like almost like Siri does on the iPhone or Google Now does on Android devices. You ask it a question and it answers it as good as it can. The only difference here is that you have to type it in, instead of saying it and the answer will also be a text message.

According to BMW, the service was developed in such a way that it can "interact with potential customers in a live question and answer format that works on a mobile format.”

“BMW i Genius is capable of understanding each question and responding accurately every time just as if you were talking to an expert from the company. The system operates around the clock allowing the consumer to ask any question relating to the i cars but without the hassle of having to pick up the phone or go into a dealership," said BMW Group UK marketing director Chris Brownridge.

If you live in the UK and want to use this service, you have to send your questions at 84747 and then the program will activate and provide answers about the i3 or i8, depending on what car you're interested in.
