For most people interested in electric vehicles, the biggest problem remains the charging. Maybe range will be enough and maybe the lack of that all-familiar engine noise will be missed, but recharging has to be done one way or another.
In order to address this concern before the i3 ends up on the streets of your city, BMW set out to inform people about the way the new car will be charged. BMW UK, for example, published a video explaining everything you need to know about the particularities of the new EV.

Charging your i3 will be possible either at home, using a random wall socket or a charging station (that is reimbursed by the UK Government), a public charging station or at your workplace, depending on your employer.

A full overnight charge will cost around GBP2 in the UK and probably the same in other countries, depending on electricity prices. Furthermore, incase your household has a detail electricity plan, the BMW i3 timer will tell you at what hours to charge so that you pay the least.

As for public charging, there are over 5,000 charging points across major cities in the UK and, with the Rapid Charge option, your car's battery will reach 80% in 30 minutes. For further info, check the video below.
