BMW track enthusiasts can rejoice as zie Germans announced the date when the new 2013 model year S1000RR HP4 superbike will be available. The track-focused version of the highly-successful S1000RR will become available on December the 1st. However, it is not yet clear whether the customers will only be able to pre-order the HP4 or the bikes will actually be in showrooms.
The new HP4 is powered by an in-line four engine that can produce a whopping 193 bhp and is one of the most powerful mass-produced superbikes of the moment. Still, there is more than sheer power to this machine to make it one of the best in its class.

Dynamic Traction Control and Gear Shift Assist are standard features, alongside multiple riding modes and Dynamic Damping suspensions, adding to the wide set of custom settings riders can choose from, or create for their unique riding style.

Aside from all the lightweight components present in the standard HP4, BMW will also offer the Carbon version that shaves off some very important kilos. Thanks to the composite carbon parts that replace the stock ones, the Carbon trim enhances the looks of the bike, making it meaner and sportier.

The HP4 (HP standing for High Performace and 4 for the generation) machines are based on the popular and esteemed S1000RR superbike. Of course, the extra grunt and technology come with a price increase. You can take the standard HP4 version home for prices that start at $19,990 (15,550€), while the carbon-laden model will set you back with $24,995 (19,440€).
