BMW Groups Sales in February: The Best Ever for the German Company

In February 2013, BMW reported the best sales numbers ever in the company's history, with an increase of 4.7% on last year. Over the first 2 months, the BMW figures increased 7.1% to 256,929 vehicles.

133,630 BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce automobiles were sold in February. Last year that numbers added up to 127,638 making this the most profitable February in the history of BMW.

Even though sales in the US registered a slight decrease in the past month, those in Asia went beyond any expectation, helping the Bavarian Group reach this astonishing number.

Concerning BMW cars, a total of 114,908 vehicles were delivered to their owners in February, a 7% increase from the previous year's 107,362. Comparing the total for the 2 month that already passed the sales increase adds up to 9.2% with 222,207 vehicles.

The best sellers were the BMW X1 with 23,118 units (a 40.1% increase), the F30 3 Series with 63,103 units (a 26.2% increase) and the 6 Series with an increase of 36.1% reaching a total of 3,271 units delivered.

Not only Asia registered a demand increase but also Europe. BMW sold 6.6% more cars in the Old Continent adding up to a total of 61,251 vehicles delivered, despite other manufacturers having trouble with demands.
