BMW Gears Up for Geneva 2010

A habitual presence of the international auto shows, German carmaker BMW will also be attending the Geneva event next month. Just as it accustomed us, the BMW booth will be packed with goodies, such as new models in numerous segments, a wider range of power plants and innovations in the area of drivetrain technology.

Highlights include the world debut of the new BMW 5 Series sedan. At the same time visitors will get to experience the new BMW X5 as well as the new BMW 3 Series Coupé and the new BMW 3 Series Convertible for the first time in Geneva.

Other innovations presented in Geneva will be the new engines in the BMW 1 Series and the BMW 3 Series, in the BMW X models and the BMW Z4. Directly before their market launch, the BMW ActiveHybrid X6 and the BMW ActiveHybrid 7 are also being highlighted at the show, bringing with them the combination of a combustion engine and an electric motor.

The 2010 Geneva Auto Show will also be the venue for the European debut of the BMW Concept ActiveE. Based on the BMW 1 Series Coupé, this concept car comes with all-electric drive and innovative electric storage technology optimizing both the range the car is able to cover as well as its standard of functionality.

Additional BMW Performance features are also available in spring 2010 for the BMW X5 M and the BMW X6 M. Yet a further highlight being presented at the show is the M Sports Package for the new BMW X5.
