This weekend's DTM race proved to be troublesome for the BMW Teams. After qualifying rounds gave us all hopes, Farfus starting from pole position and Wittmann going in second, the race turned out to be terrible.
Just before the event kick-off, rain started pouring, making everything just a bit more intense. Augusto fought until the end and managed to finish second, in some gruesome conditions. Marco wasn't that lucky and from second place, dropped to 7th place.

One impressive display of talent came from Martin Tomczyk that coped well with the conditions and finished 5th after starting on the 20th position, helping BMW stay on top in the manufacturer's competition.

Defending champion, Bruno Spengler had another batch of bad luck. He was hit by various rivals along the race, his car being damaged, therefore rendering him unable to defend his position in the top 10, finishing 14th.

At the moment, Bruno is number 4 in the driver's championship, followed closely by Farfus that is just one point behind. In the manufacturer's championship, BMW managed to keep its number one position with 251 points to its name.
