The fifth movie in the Mission Impossible franchise is currently being filmed in Morocco and it seems like it’s going to use a rather new car for its action scenes. Curious bystanders managed to film and even get some photos of a couple of new BMW F80 M3 models on the set, being thrashed around by stunt drivers.
This comes right after the previous movie, Mission Impossible 4: Ghost Protocol, featured the car that would eventually become the i8, the BMW Vision Concept. The start actor of the movies even arrived at a couple of premieres around the world, behind the wheel of the futuristic BMW.

Considering that car is no longer a concept, we would’ve expected Tom to use the i8 in his new movie but the M3 will do just fine too. What we don’t like is the way those stunt cars are being used on the set.

As you can see and hear in the video posted below, the stunts involved driving the new M cars on a flight of steps. It’s gruesome to watch for gearheads like us but we’re guessing it will be looking rather cool in the finished product.

Apparently, the collaboration with BMW won't be limited to destroying some M3s. A couple of BMW S1000RR bikes were also spotted on the set, probably going to be used as pursuit vehicles.

The movie is set to be arriving in cinemas around the world in December 2015 and will continue with the same stars from Ghost Protocol, including Jeremy Renner and Simon Pegg.
