It’s finally here! Probably the most anticipated BMW release of the year, the 4 Series Coupe made its debut online last night and took everyone by surprise.

The model that is supposed to replace the one of the most popular versions of the 3 Series comes to the world bringing a whole new series along for the ride. The differences between the E92 Coupe and the F32 are pretty noticeable, both in size and styling.

The new car bears approximately the same front fascia as the 2 Series Coupe we showed you a while back. We think BMW is heading in a new direction, possibly creating some design cues that all Coupes will share.

You’ll notice that the headlights are pretty similar and the kidney grilles also. The inverted Hofmeister kink that showed up on the front fenders is also interesting, being bigger than the one on the 3 Series GT but yet another styling cue that seems like it’s here to stay.

On the inside, the new 4 Series Coupe stays true to its BMW DNA, having the same driver-oriented design. At the same time, the interior is luxurious and finished using superior grade materials. This way the 4er is not only a sporty appearance but also exudes class and style, just what its drivers want.

BMW’s Head of Design, Karim Habib took the time to explain everything that is new about the 4 Series Coupe in a video posted by BMW on its Youtube channel today and you’ll find it below. Enjoy!
