Since BMW decided to launch the M Performance Parts for the new 4 Series in an event where journalists from around the world got to test the new car, it was only normal that everyone published their thoughts on the car at one point or another.
Today we're looking at what Car Advice had to say, to see how Australia will take on the new Coupe. First of all, we should mention that they too got their hands on a 435i in Sport Line so things are not going to be much different from what you've already heard.

The 3-liter engine under the bonnet develops the same 306 HP and 400 Nm (300 lb-ft) of torque as we're already used to seeing coming out of the N55 engine. The gearbox is the traditional ZF 8-Speed automatic unit that works flawlessly.

The new car is wider and longer, especially at the back where the distance between the flared arches was increased by a serious 2 inches. However, the new car is lighter than its predecessor, thanks to lightweight materials.

As we've heard before, the driving experience is really good inside the 4er and you'll feel as if you're on rails inside tricky corners. The touring character of the car shows up almost instantly when going on road trips whilst the racing DNA is emphasized on the track. Even though the 4 Series is not a proper sports car, you can still have lots of fun with it on a circuit, where it really comes alive.

The interior feels new and familiar at the same time. The driver oriented design enhances the 'BMW-ness' of the car and you'll immediately feel at home. The range of optionals you can get is unbelievable and everyone can get their car just as they want to.

The only downside they found was related to what they called 'X-Factor'. Since that means whatever you want it to mean, we can't really hold it back on the 4er. Furthermore, Australia doesn't seem to be on the list of countries that will benefit from the AWD xDrive system and this truly is a disappointment.
