The top of the line BMW 3 Series that you can buy at the moment is the 335i M Sport xDrive model. It's also the most expensive car in the line-up whilst the performance levels reach unexpected numbers.
The guys from Autos.ca were equally impressed by the way this car makes you feel, not to mention that they almost didn't have anything bad to say about the Bimmer, excepting the price.

As you already know, the 335i model comes equipped with the N55 3-liter turbocharged engine, a direct descendant of the N54 unit, developing 306 HP and 300 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque. This beautifully crafted engine is than mated with the ZF 8-Speed gearbox and xDrive intelligent all-wheel-drive system.

The interior is made up of high-quality materials all the way. The only area where you'll find hard plastic, is around the inner door sills and lower portion of the storage cubbies. The car they had came with the Dakota leather option, making the interior completely black.

As far as the fuel consumption numbers go, the car was almost perfect, delivering a long-range, combined cycle average of 11.1 l/100km (21.1 mpg), just shy of the 10.8 l/100km (21.7 mpg) you have in your owner's manual.

Overall, the 3er is still the best in its class and regarded as the leader of the pack by the Audi S4 and the Infinity G37 that are still lagging behind.
