Ever since we showed you the comparison test between the F30 328i and the E90 328i done by Road&Track some things were never the same.
Basically, the conclusion of that comparison test said that the previous model was better than the F30 in almost every way and that we should be disappointed, a conclusion that we didn't agree with.

And Autos.ca seems to think the same. They just posted their own comparison, this one being done in better circumstances though. How come? Well, the 328i comparo wasn't fair because the E90 had a 3-liter, 6-cylinder engine, whereas the F30 had a 2-liter, 4-cylinder turbocharged unit, that couldn't cope with 2 extra cylinders.

The 335i comparison done by Autos.ca is perfect because both cars have 3-liter engines and both of them are turbocharged. The 2008 model has the twin-turbo N54 engine whilst the 2013 model has the newer, single-turbo N55 unit with TwinTurbo technology.

After a thorough comparison, the test arrives to one bias conclusion and one rational one. The latter is that the F30 makes the E90 look ancient. Hooked up with a lot newer technology and with a more stylish interior, the 2013 335i is miles ahead of the 2008.

On the other hand, the E90 belonged to the editor and a BMW will make you feel special every time. That's what happened here too. The editor couldn't help but choose his car over the F30, as it was part of him, assisting him over the years and never letting him down. In the end, it's up to you and it's a matter of perception.
