August didn't bring about only the last month of summer but also the start of production of BMW's 3rd generation X5, the F15. As all of its other brothers from the X family, the new X5 will be built in the US, at the Spartanburg plant.
The first cars to be built are the ones that will be sent off to the dealerships around the world, meant to show BMW aficionados everywhere just how good the new Bimmer is.

Going even further in details, the first BMW F15 X5 to be built is a Mineral White M50d featuring Exclusive Nappa Mocha leather interior that will be sent off to a dealer in Eastern Europe.

“Since 1999, the X5 has been a significant contributor to the Spartanburg plant’s global success. Our team will continue to build the next-generation X5 with the superior quality that our customers around the world have come to expect from South Carolina,” said BMW Manufacturing President, Josef Kerscher.
