BMW F13 M6 Track Test by Car Magazine

We've seen the newest M6 tested by various publications ever since its initial release. Everyone was curious to see how the new turbocharged 6er would perform, compared to its older brother.

The guys from Car Magazine took one to the Killarney track and made the best out of the situation. However, this was no ordinary M6 Coupe. This one was fitted with Akrapovic's Titanium Aftermarket exhaust system, that completely changed the car's tune.

Actually, a lot of the owners of the current gen M6 and M5 models go for this kind of a transformation, since they are not satisfied with the stock sound of their cars. To each his own, we say.

Testing the car was multiple SA champion and CAR Track test ace Deon Joubert and he had to admit that the car started to grow on him the longer he drove it. BMW actually did this intentionally, and wanted to offer its customers the best possible feeling.

In order to achieve this task, everyone can tune the car to their own specifications, even down to the way the steering wheel feels. All those adjustments are there to allow you to get the most out of your M6.

The lap time was 1:23,91 a bit faster than Mercedes' CLS63 AMG and a bit slower than the E92 BMW M3 Frozen Edition. However, judging by the way Deon drove, we think he might've gotten a better lap time, if he'd been more careful.
