BMW F10 M5 Gets Its 0 to 100 km/h Time Tested

The current M5 is a true BMW. It is sporty, agile while also capable of elegance with a classy feel. The 4-door sedan will charm you from the first second you press the acceleration pedal with its power and most of all, the way that power is delivered.

The guys from m5boarddotcom tested the car's specifications to see whether the BMW claimed time for the 100 km/h sprint is accurate or not. The results were surprising.

The official time for the S63 V8 560 HP car is 4.4 seconds. The guys recorded that time at the first run, using a GPS module. The second run turned out an even better time of 4.3 seconds. However, both runs were done only on Sport mode in order to be able to keep the car under control.

One can only wonder though what kind of results would've been recorded if the runs would've been done on the Sport+ mode with launch control. Furthermore, from the recording, it seems that there are 2 persons in the car, one recording and one driving. That means that there is extra weight in the car that could prove to ruin the run times.
