It's a well known fact that BMW gives its cars a mid-life facelift at around 3 or 4 years from the official debut in order to keep things interesting for us. That will also be the case with the F10 5 Series that turns 4 this year.
We now know for sure how the LCI 5 Series will look like starting with models built after July 2013. The new, updated Bimmer will get a fresh face with sleeker headlights and a redesigned front bumper.

First of all you can notice that the headlights are now sportier and more rectangle-oriented. The angel-eyes of this model seem to be rather square than round as in the current design. Furthermore the edges of the headlights, especially towards the signal lights are now sharper.

The front kidney grilles look smaller than the ones on the models that are currently rolling out of production and the front bumper has a different design around the fog lights including a reshaped chrome trim. Also the character line that separated the kidney grille area from the headlights seems to have been removed on the updated model.

The LCI Facelift versions will receive reworked steering and it seems like the 550i will get a more powerful N63TU V8 engine with 445 HP and 649 Nm of torque replacing the current one that has 402 HP and 600 Nm of torque.
