At first you might say that BMW has gone bonkers releasing a 4-door version of a 2-door car inspired by a 4-door saloon. Actually you would be wrong.
Everybody thought that the Gran Coupe will be a failure. Today, after receiving such positive reviews, the F06 is regarded as one of the best cars in BMW's line-up. It has the luxury and prestige that the 5 Series lacks. It is a worthy opponent for Mercedes-Benz's CLS.

The fact that the available engines for this car are not underpowerd and that it really packs a punch, make it even better.

The 650i Gran Coupe shares the engine with the 550i but has been tweaked to deliver 444 HP instead of 407 in the 5er's case. Those extra horses will come in handy considering the car's curb weight of almost 2 tones.

The most interesting fact about the 650i is the way it changes according to the driving mode you select. The default Comfort/Drive mode will give you the impression that the car is big and heavy and also kind of slow. Well it is, but activating the Sport/Sport+/DS modes will turn it into a sporty agile beast fighting against the laws of physics and making you feel like you're inside a sports car.
