Taking the veils off the 2 Series Convertible isn’t nearly enough for a company like BMW. After investing heavily into creating a new model, the Bavarians want you to know everything there is to know about the new car. Therefore, in their usual fashion, they launched an explanatory video showing you all the new bits and pieces on the droptop.
And when we used the world ‘all’, we meant it. Chris Brow goes through everything related to the car, from the exterior design to the smallest details inside. For example, after finishing explaining the exterior styling he even tells us about the new gloss-black HVAC panel trims and the chromed elements around the air grilles.

It’s not all useless info, though. The active rollover protection elements were something we didn’t see in the initial photos. That’s because they are hidden right behind the rear seats’ headrests and are activated in case of an emergency.

The boot capacity is also an area of particular interest, especially since this is a convertible and these cars are known for lacking space in the boot. In the case of the 2 Series, we’re dealing with a class leading 335 liters when the top is up and 280 liters when it is folded.

Not bad numbers for a car this small. Furthermore, you can recline the back seats to store longer objects and still enjoy the sun. Check out everything you need to know about the new model in the full video below.
