BMW EfficientDynamics Secret Test Drive Competition

We've been had, sort of speak... Slowly, the secrets hidden behind the dontblogaboutthis.com website setup by German manufacturer BMW are slowly being revealed.

The latest development in this quite exciting way of promoting a new model is the announcement made on the aforementioned blog/website by BMW. Whatever the car promoted this way is, the carmaker plans to revealed it to a lucky few at a secret test drive, to be held at an yet undisclosed location in Germany. And among that lucky few can be anyone of you.

BMW announced it has kicked off a contest which will give the chance to three of its fans to take part at the secret vehicle's first runs. To take place between November 4 and 6, the test drive will be the means chosen by BMW to reveal their new EfficientDynamics car.

Anyone can join the competition and hope to get a chance to win a test drive in these “historic first runs” by signing up on BMW's Facebook page. The entries can be submitted until October 18, with the winners to receive, along with the chance to test the BMW future, accommodation, flights and airport transfers.

“Extracting maximum driving pleasure from every drop of fuel: this is the aim of EfficientDynamics. With an array of intelligent technologies, it is able to reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions while simultaneously enhancing your vehicle’s dynamic performance," BMW says in a post on the aforementioned blog.

“The array of leading-edge technologies that are part of the EfficientDynamics philosophy are as diverse as they are innovative. From new fuel combustion technologies to lighter construction materials, low-friction components and improved aerodynamics all the way to comprehensive and highly sophisticated energy management."

"However, the aim of each of these innovations is the same: to deliver maximum driving pleasure from a minimum of fuel."
