When 2 Fast 2 Furious was launched, the Mitsubishi Evo VIII registered a sudden spike of popularity amongst motorists. The things Brian did with that car in the movies got a lot of people dreaming.
However, reality is a completely different thing and, whilst some rare Evos did reach outstanding levels of power most owners were ultimately disappointed by the Japanese car, when compared to other road monsters.
It's also the case of the unfortunate man in the video below. He actually had some work done to his car, in the hope that he'd be standing a chance against such cars as the BMW 3 Series.
One of his friends actually has one and they decided to go at it one day and record their runs for the world to see. The Bimmer is a 2013 E92 335is with the 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox, a JB4 G5 ECU remap and BMS flash.
The Evo VIII has a lot more installed, things like a 3" turbo back, better cams, new intake, the turbocharger was upped to 24 PSI, a new remap and all-in-all 350 HP going to all 4 wheels.
