When it comes to having fun with BMWs, the guys from m5board.com definitely know what they're doing. Amongst the impressive amount of videos posted on their Youtube account you are bound to find a lot of Bimmers in actions.
One of their latest releases features a heavily modified M3 going against a Ferrari F430 Scuderia. Make no mistake, even though the M3 had a VT625 supercharger system installed, the Scuderia is no slow car.
Actually, the F430 Scuderia was claimed to be just as fast as the Enzo and the 458 Italia around Ferrari's track, the Fiorano Circuit. Compared to the stock version, the Scuderia has an increased power output, reaching 515 HP (compared to the stock 480 HP) and is lighter by 100 kg (220 lb), weighing only 1,350 kg (2976 lb).
The M3, if the VT625 system was properly installed, should now be pushing 625 HP and 550 Nm (405 lb-ft) of torque out of the 4-liter V8 under the bonnet. Considering these numbers, it's easy to see how the M3 managed to win the drag race but not by as much as you'd expect.
