Out of the current BMW range, two models pop out immediately from a certain point of view. When it comes to interiors, only two cars have a different look inside compared to the rest of the range. Those are the BMW E89 Z4 and the 2 Series Active Tourer.
While on other models the same overall design is kept with slight alterations, on these two things are a bit different. A special mention goes to the Z4 where even the HVAC controls are positioned differently and have a circular design instead of rectangular as on other cars.

Alcantara and carbon fiber dominate the atmosphere

In the usual Carlex Design style, things changed inside the most, with their preferred materials used almost everywhere. That includes carbon fiber and black alcantara, of course.

Alcantara and perforated leather decorate the steering wheel while the dash, seats and center console use the same material. Carbon fiber is now replacing the trims everywhere possible, from the center console to the gearshift knob.

Contrasting red sticking goes all around while the seats have been heavily modified, now featuring a carbon fiber motif and red leather creating a brilliant effect in combination with the same bits being applied on the door panels and glove box compartment cover. Even the retractable roof was taken care off also featuring black alcantara and red stitching.

No much changed on the outside

Of course, the outside of the car was taken care of as well but in a much more subtle way. Only the wheels have been changed with ones that have a similar color along with the addition of a front splitter under the bumper and a new diffuser round the back.

If you ask us, we’d tell you that we like most of the changes but some of them could’ve been left out, like the white and red badges on the steering wheel and bonnet as well as the steering wheel leather that seems to have made it too thick to be used. That’s only our 2 cents though, what do you think?
