In the history of the Audi S8, only one car was ever fitted with a V10, the 2006-2011 models. Those were some impressive machines for their time, but as an article of ours showed yesterday, nowadays, it's just not enough.
BerlinTomek, a supercar spotting channel on Youtube did a remember on powerful V10 engines, comparing Audi's sound to another legendary V10, the S85 unit fitted on the E63 M6 and E60 M5.
That engine was built with F1 technology back in the day and had a displacement of 5 liters, revving up to 8,750 RPM and creating a special sound whilst doing it. That sound can be fully experienced in the video below.
