Owning and driving a fast, powerful, RWD car on a daily basis is not as easy as some might think. Sure, it’s fun when you can control the power but, at times, that power might take you by surprise and throw you under the bus.
This matte black BMW E60 M5 owner certainly knows that now, as his car is showing its underbody to the audience somewhere in Manresa, Spain. Autogespot spotter Jokmix8 quickly grabbed his camera and started taking photos when he saw the disaster unfold in front of him.
According to him, a failed overtaking maneuver caused the accident, thanks to the ‘skills’ of the driver. Fortunately, there were no casualties of victims, the driver alone suffering only small contusions.
My guess is that he somehow turned off the DSC and went full retard on the acceleration pedal, forgetting for a moment that his car is RWD and has around 500 HP at its disposal to make the rear tires scarce in a matter of seconds. What we’re looking at here, is only the result of ignoring the laws of physics. In case you're thinking about getting an M5, consider yourself warned!
