It’s been a while since the E39 5 Series has gone out of production and yet the BMW community still gasps every time one drives in front of them. That being said, we also gasped when we took a look at the latest post of European Auto Source’s blog. That’s because there’s an Alpine White 530i over there that we simply couldn’t overlook.
The car came into the shop to get a lower stance, one that would grant it better stability whenever it was needed. Therefore, the guys from EAS provided a set of ST Speedtech coilovers that can be adjusted to the driver’s own liking. It’s also important to note that these are made by KW which are probably leading the crowd in this field.

You might also notice a couple of extra tuning parts thrown in there as well. For example, the 5er also has matte black kidney grilles up front that give the white body an interesting contrast while the wheels are HRE C90 forged and look great on this granny.

Under the bonnet lies a stock M54B30 3-liter inline 6-cylinder naturally aspirated engine that used to be rated at 228 HP and 300 Nm (221 lb-ft) of torque by BMW back in the day. The block is the same as the one used for the legendary S54 plant aboard the E46 M3.

So what’s your take on the E39 in general and this one in particular? Love it or hate it?
