The kind of weather the US is currently experiencing (especially the East Coast) is definitely out of the ordinary, with temperatures reaching all time lows and really close to breaking records. A lot of videos surfaced the web of people doing crazy stuff in this kind of weather and it was just a matter of time ’til drifting showed up.
Some guys in St. Louis decided to take their cars out for a quick showdown in the snow that they called “Snowmageddon”, a brilliant name, by the way. The two combatants are a rally-built Subaru Legacy (therefore 4x4) and a BMW E30.
Of course, since everything happened in the snow, the AWD Subaru took the cake but the little RWD E30 did more than ok, all things considered. Sure, this is just an exercise and an attempt to make the best out of a bad situation so you really shouldn’t be too hard on the little Bimmer. Take the two on tarmac and things will turn around immediately.
