With the winter season still going strong, those of you who live in snow-embracing areas may have a hard time commuting during the week, but there's a weekend reward that's worth mentioning.
With the white magic covering our tracks and deserted parking lots, running a drift car for the weekends is much easier than when the grip is richer.

All you need to do is head over to Craigslist, work your way past the questionable rear-wheel-drive ads, and grab a machine that will run for more than 10 miles.

Welding the rear diff and giving the car a serious inspection to ensure it won't leave you stranded on the side of the track are jobs that can be considered just as affordable as the machine itself.

And since this would be your other car, you don't even have to worry about all the little aspects that give a daily driver its dependability aura. Screw that air conditioning, you can just take a shower once your weekend sideways adventure is complete.

We've even brought an example for you, which comes in the form of the clip below. The footage shows a pair of E30 BMWs that pack the minimum requirements for the slip angle world, having their way with the snow and ice.

The footage comes from Kazakhstan drifter Anton Adveyev. You know, the guy who became known on the world wide web for offering his son drifting shotgun rides ever since the boy was three.

Timofey, the little one, is now six, and while he doesn't appear in the video, we can only imagine the excitement in his family as he nears the age when he'll be able to reach the pedals of a car.

When he's not sliding cheap E30s, Anton likes to spend his sideways time in a Toyota AE86 that uses a JZ heart, which follows his previous drift machine, an Impreza WRX STI.
