This weekend, the BMW drivers that raced in the GRAND-AM Rolex and CTSCC Series at Laguna Seca claimed podiums in every class. Scott Pruett and Memo Rojas finished second in the GRAND-AM race, ending up just 8 points behind the leaders before the last race of the season.
On September 28th, at Lime Rock Park, the season will be decided, the Daytona Prototype championship being still open. The other BMW duo in the championship, driven by Scott Dixon and Dario Franchitti finished 3rd.
As for the GT class, the Number 93 Turner Motorsport BMW M3 driven by Billy Johnson and Michael Marsal finished second, recording this season's best finish. The other Turner Motorsport car, driven by Bill Auberlen and Paul Dalla Lana, finished 12th.
"All of the BMW drivers did a fine job at Laguna Seca. To reach the podium in every class we compete is testament to the hard work and dedication of our teams. It could not be more fitting that all the championships will be decided at BMW’s home track, Lime Rock Park,” said Gordon McDonnell, BMWNA Motorsport Manager.
